Five students from the NDSU School of Design, Architecture and Art were awarded an ADDY in the student categories of the American Advertising Awards hosted by the American Advertising Federation of North Dakota on Feb. 23.
The students won a total of 10 awards, which Andrew Stark, assistant professor of practice in the NDSU department of visual arts, said is a record. The students also set a record for the total number of gold ADDYS awarded.
“We are so proud of the success of our students at this year’s ADDY Awards,” said Michael Strand, director and professor in the School of Design, Architecture and Art. “The dedication of our students and how they engage with the professional world is inspiring. The graphic design/illustration focus in our program within the School of Design, Architecture and Art has grown into the destination program for students pursuing a career in design and with over 800 students pursuing creative careers we are the largest comprehensive Art + Design program in the region.”
