NDSU's next Science Café will explore the life as a scientist. V. Ramamurthy, professor of chemistry and Fulbright-Nehru Distinguished Chair at the University of Miami, is scheduled to present "Science and Scientists" Tuesday, May 12, at 7 p.m. in Stokers Basement, Hotel Donaldson in Fargo. It’s free and open to the public.
The talk is directed toward students and young researchers who wish to lead a life of a scientist.
According to Ramamurthy, life of a scientist could be more complex than other occupations because it requires constant creativity and innovation. Ramamurthy said the life of a scientist can be exciting but also demanding in terms of time and energy. The talk, which will outline various aspects of science and scientists, is based on six books, including "Advice for a Young Investigator," "The Beginner’s Guide to Winning the Nobel Prize" and "Reminiscences and Reflections."
