Kjersten Nelson, assistant professor of political science, published the article "Double-Bind on the Bench: Citizen Perceptions of Judge Gender and the Court" in the June issue of Politics and Gender, a peer-reviewed journal.
Nelson earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota, Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University, master's degree and doctorate from the University of Minnesota.
She teaches courses in applied research methods and problems and policies in American government.
Politics and Gender publishes research representing questions, issues and approaches on gender and women political science areas such as politics, international relations, political theory and U.S. politics.
