The NDSU Press will celebrate its latest books during its first-ever NDSU Press Party, scheduled for Thursday, March 3, at 7 p.m. in the Harry D. McGovern Alumni Center.
NDSU Press authors will launch three books:
• "North Dakota's Geologic Legacy," by John P. Bluemle
• "The Walk Across North Dakota," by Gwendolyn Hoberg and others
• "Boy Wanted," by Ryan Christiansen
"We’re thrilled to be able to showcase our newest authors and publications, and at the same time, to share the news that NDSU Press is taking great strides toward becoming the press of choice for publishing great works of the Great Plains," said Suzzanne Kelley, NDSU Press editor-in-chief and assistant professor of practice.
Also expected to attend are W. Scott Olsen, author of "A Moment with Strangers," and several authors of "North Dakota is Everywhere," which includes works by Heid E. Erdrich, Mark Vinz, Debra Marquart, Ed Bok Lee and North Dakota Poet Laureate Larry Woiwode.
The event will feature music by Amanda Standalone, refreshments and a cash bar. It is free and open to the public.
