Scott Pryor, associate professor of agricultural and biosystems engineering, is scheduled to present “Habashwe! A year in South Africa as a Fulbright Scholar” Friday, Nov. 4 at 3 p.m. in the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering building, room 208.
Pryor spent the 2015-16 academic year as a teaching and research Fulbright Scholar at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. He taught a course in sustainable energy and conducted research on energy use and greenhouse gas emissions from sugarcane production for sugar or biofuels.
He will discuss his experience at the host institution, summarize his research work and present an overview of South Africa’s agricultural practices and its geographic and biological diversity.
