NDSU’s 800 Café is scheduled to serve a “Garden Party” lunch. The meal is set for Thursday, March 9, and Friday, March 10, in the Food Production Complex on the third floor of the Katherine K. Burgum Family Life Center. Seating will be from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

The menu for the meal includes:

·      House-made roasted red pepper hummus served with warm pita triangles and an arrangement of fresh, crisp garden vegetables.

·      Rosemary and herb-marinated grilled chicken with artisan charred marks accompanied with thin roasted thyme asparagus and tender roasted garlic parsley potatoes.

·      Yellow angel food cake topped with fresh strawberries and house-made whipped cream.

Dietetics students Katie Pavlicek and Bailey Plutowski will manage the meal with the help of their classmates.

The cost is $10 per person and includes beverages. Four-meal punch cards are available for $35. Cash or check are acceptable forms of payment.

Walk-ins are welcomed, but reservations are preferred due to limited seating. The café is open to the public and parking is available in NDSU’s visitor lot.

The 800 Café is operated by NDSU dietetic students and will be open for lunch on Thursdays and Fridays through May 5. Sherri Nordstrom Stastny, associate professor of health, nutrition and exercise sciences, is the class instructor.
