Timothy J. Kloberdanz, professor emeritus of sociology and anthropology, recently published a novella, titled "One Day on the River Red." It is his first work of fiction.
The book is about a Norwegian Lutheran man from Fargo who marries a German-Russian Catholic woman from the Standing Rock Sioux Indian Reservation in western North Dakota. Most of the story takes place in Fargo during a single, eventful day.
The novella was published by Clovis House, a new independent press that publishes and promotes the cultural heritage of the Great American West. A book launch and book signing for the novella was held Oct. 21 at Zandbroz Variety.
The book is available at many area bookstores, including the NDSU Bookstore.
