NDSU senior goalkeeper Monica Polgar was named to The Summit League Women's Soccer Academic All-League Team, announced by the league office Dec. 3. A total of 12 student-athletes were named to the squad that was voted on by the membership's faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.
Polgar is a natural resources and emergency management major from Cupertino, California.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30, completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions. The Summit League Academic All-League team is made up of the 11 student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
This is the second honor of the year for Polgar, who was also named to the All-Summit League Second Team for the second time in her collegiate career.
