NDSU football student-athletes earn academic honors

After setting a program record with a 3.122 team grade-point average during fall semester, the NDSU football team had a league-high 72 student-athletes named to the 2019 Missouri Valley Football Conference Honor Roll.

Five NDSU players earned the league's highest academic honor, the President's Council Academic Excellence Award, which requires a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average and participation in athletics a minimum of two years. The student-athlete must be scheduled to graduate by the end of the summer of 2020.

Also announced were the Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award, which requires a minimum 3.2 GPA for the previous two semesters, and the Honor Roll, which recognizes student-athletes who earned a 3.0 GPA for the fall term, were a member of the football team and were enrolled for 12 credit hours during the fall.
