The NDSU baseball team had a league-best three players named to the 2020 Summit League Baseball Academic All-League Team, announced by the league office on May 28.
Redshirt junior Charley Hesse was named to the team for the second-straight year, while senior Tucker Rohde and sophomore Max Loven were named to the team for the first time. Five of the nine selections to the team were repeat selections.
With the 2020 season cut short, career statistics and honors were taken into consideration for the 2020 awards.
Earlier this spring, Hesse was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team and is eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-America Teams, which will be announced in June. He was an All-Summit League Second Team selection in 2019.
Rohde was named to the 2018 Summit League All-Tournament Team.
The reigning Summit League Newcomer of the Year, Loven was an All-Summit League First Team selection in 2019, and also was named to Collegiate Baseball's Freshman All-American Team.
Nominations are brought forth by sports information directors from the league's participating members, and voting is conducted by both SIDs and FARs. The teams are made up of nine student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
