NDSU senior Michelle Gaislerova has been named to the Summit League Women's Basketball Academic All-League Team for the third straight year. Gaislerova is the seventh player in league history to earn the honor for the third time.
Gaislerova has 4.00 GPA and is majoring in journalism. The senior set NDSU’s single-season 3-point percentage record this year (50.8) and ranks third in program history in career 3-pointer percentage (40.9). She finished her career ranked first in NDSU history in free throw percentage (91.0) and second in career 3-pointers (209). She tallied 1,246 points for her career, averaging 11.1 points per game.
To be eligible for the academic all-league team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of her team's competitions.
Nominations are brought forth by sports information directors from the league's nine institutions, and voting is conducted by both SIDs and Facility Athletic Representatives. The team is made up of five student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
