NDSU fullback Hunter Luepke and defensive tackle Lane Tucker were named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 first team Thursday, June 10, as selected by a vote of the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Luepke and Tucker, who both earned honorable mention on the Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Academic Team, will advance to the national ballot for CoSIDA Academic All-America honors to be announced in July.

Luepke, a sophomore from Spencer, Wisconsin, maintains a 3.40 grade-point average majoring in finance. He was first-team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference and was named a first-team FCS All-American by Stats Perform and Phil Steele.

Tucker, a junior from Gillette, Wyoming, graduated from NDSU in December 2020 with a 3.73 GPA in sport management. He was an honorable mention to the All-MVF team.

The CoSIDA Academic All-America program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletics and academics. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average at their current institution.
