NDSU graduate student Rocky Kreuser was voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-America third team, it was announced Tuesday, Mar. 15, by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Kreuser’s accolade is the ninth Academic All-America honor of the Division I era for NDSU men’s basketball, and the first since three-time recipient A.J. Jacobson in 2018.
Kreuser, fromWhite Bear Lake, Minnesota, earned a bachelor’s degree with a 3.62 cumulative GPA as a university studies major, with minors in psychology and criminal justice. Kreuser now owns a 4.0 graduate GPA, working toward a master’s degree in health, nutrition & exercise science.
Kreuser played in a school record 158 games during his career – tied for the 19th-most among all active Division I players. He ended his career as only the second player in NDSU history to accumulate more than 1,600 points, 800 rebounds, and 100 blocks as a Bison.
This year, Kreuser became the 20th player in NDSU history to score 500 points in a season. He averaged 15.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game over his final two seasons.
