NDSU senior throwers Trevor Otterdahl and Amanda Anderson were named to the Academic All-District team for Division I track and field and cross country, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced May 26.
Otterdahl, who is from Rosemount, Minnesota, graduated with a bachelor’s degree from NDSU in mathematics with a 3.96 cumulative GPA, and then earned an MBA with a 4.0 GPA. He was a first-team All-American in the weight throw in 2021 and 2022.
Anderson, who is from Bethel, Minnesota, has a 4.0 cumulative GPA as a physical education and health education major. She swept the Summit League’s indoor and outdoor titles in the shot put this season, and added her third consecutive conference title in the discus outdoor.
As All-District honorees, both Otterdahl and Anderson will advance to the national ballot for Academic All-America honors, to be announced in late June.
District 6 is comprised of student-athletes from Arkansas, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
