NDSU track athlete Jacob Rodin was named the recipient of the NCAA Elite 90 Award June 9 at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
The Elite 90 Award is presented to the single student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average at each of the NCAA’s 90 national championships. Rodin has a 4.0 GPA with a major in agricultural economics.
Rodin’s honor is the 17th Elite 90 Award claimed by the Bison and the second for NDSU men’s track and field, joining Benji Phillips last year.
Rodin and his Bison 1,6000-meter relay teammates broke the NDSU school record for the third consecutive meet at the NCAA Championships, placing 18th overall.
