Somnath Banerjee, NDSU associate professor of marketing, was recently quoted in an online WalletHub story. Banerjee was one of two experts from across the state cited in the story, “Best Car Insurance in North Dakota,” by Candace Baker.
“Important factors to consider for care insurance would include both quality and price-related factors, and then weigh them according to the importance of quality versus price savings for the specific customer,” Banerjee said in the story. “For example, in terms of quality, some factors to consider would be the different types and levels of coverage provide, the ease of getting claim reimbursement and the reviews by past customers of the insurer. Similarly, in terms of price savings, factors to consider would include the price for a certain level and type of insurance coverage, specific discounts available for the customer and the potential for a price drop in the future based on good driving habits.”
Banerjee’s research interests are in sales management, sales incentives, sales-marketing interface, online marketing, competitive marketing strategy and quantitative marketing.
He earned his bachelor’s degree at Patna University, India; his Master of Business Administration from the International Management Institute, India; and his doctorate at the University of Central Florida.
