Why you Should Plant A White Pine
White pines are one of the best pine trees to plant for year round color and beauty. A large
majority of these pines are found in Minnesota, but they can grow and flourish in many
different environments. They really do well in many different soil types, however they are not
every tolerant of dry conditions. A balanced of wet and dry would be the best situation for
these pines, when the soil is to dry the young trees can dry up and. When planting you should
consider putting them in a semi shaded area because with too much exposure to the sun, they
will grow fast, but they also are more likely to get some diseases. One thing avoid when
planting these pines, is not to plant them in any low or densely wooded areas. Because the cold
air will accumulate there and be really hard on the young plant. Some diseases to watch for are, white pine blister rust, and infection.
