Diseases and Maintenance

Insects can be one of the biggest problems facing seashore paspalum due in large part to the environment the grass thrives in.  These bugs such as Bill Bugs, Mole Crickets, and nematodes can be controlled with insecticides, but may persist because of their rapid reproduction in the warm climates.  Most diseases that afflict Seashore Paspalum such as dollar spot and brown patch can be easily controlled through cultural methods such as limiting the amount of nitrogen applied per year.
