Here, we are at a gravel pit in Valley City, ND, where you can easily see the effect of the crazy currents which were flowing in what is now the Cheyenne River Valley. A very turbulent river existed that created the valley in which Valley City exists today. As you can see, different sands are piggybacking on top of one another filling channels, cutting other channels, and so on.
