Identification key to the Notodontidae occurring in the Dakotas

 

4C7.  (4C6)   Male eighth sternite with large deep pits located along an inverted 'U-shaped' groove. 
            Forewing with 3 green streaks (fading to yellow in preserved material) obscured by white scales
            in eastern specimens.  Macurocampa marthesia (Cramer)

            Fw without green streaks, with an oblique black streak in cell CuA2.  Heterocampa obliqua Packard.
