Northern Cass Visits NDSU

A group of juniors and seniors from Northern Cass high school came to NDSU to work alongside faculty and NDSU students.  This event was coordinated by faculty members Ron Degges and Andrew Lexvold, who assigned sets of data for analysis to groups of students. One group focused on the survival times of women treated for Breast Cancer, while another group examined the shopping patterns of grocery store customers, comparing shopper numbers between Wednesdays and Saturdays.  Following their analysis, each group presented their findings.  Overall, there were five presentations, with each student contributing to their respective group's presentation.  The event was a great opportunity for these junior and senior high school students to participate in a classroom environment and hear from current NDSU students about their college experience in the Department of Statistics at NDSU.
