Academic Coordinator

Hope Shields

Hey everybody! My name is Hope Shields and I am the Academic Coordinator for Upward Bound. I am originally from the south suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. I moved to the Fargo/Moorhead area from Memphis, TN in 2012 and I've been here working with young people ever since. My immediate family (of 20) now resides in this great city, so you have probably met one of my relatives already. My husband and I have been blessed with 2 littles that keep us busy 24/7.

I love working with TRIO because it allows me the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of future leaders. I recognize that we all have the potential to do great things and I'm passionate about pushing each student to do their best and watching them succeed.
