2025-26 Upper-Level Meal Plan Options
Unlimited Access Meal Plans
Unlimited meal plans allow students to pop into our dining centers as many times as they want. Students enjoy the flexibility to grab snacks, meals, or coffee anytime they want. Unlimited meal plans come with $50 Dining Dollars, which have a dollar-for-dollar value and can be used at all on-campus dining locations, including Starbucks, Caribou, Burgers at the U, Twisted Taco, Chick-fil-A, Panda Express, The Union Market, and The Micro Market at Barry Hall.
Seven-Day Meal Plan - $2,797/Semester
- Monday - Sunday | 7 guest passes | 2 to-go meals/day, limited to one per meal period | $50 Dining Dollars
- Unused guest passes and Dining dollars expire on the last day of each semester.
- All upper-level students living in a meal plan-required residence hall will automatically be enrolled in the 7-day unlimited access meal plan.
Five-Day Meal Plan - $2,488/Semester
- Monday - Friday | 3 guest passes | 2 to-go meals/day, limited to one per meal period | $50 Dining Dollars
- Unused guest passes and Dining dollars expire on the last day of each semester.
Block Meal Plans
Block plans provide students with a set amount of meal swipes that can be used in the dining centers, plus select food court and coffee shop locations. Locations include: West Dining Center, Residence Dining Center, The Union Market, Minard Coffee Shop Proudly Serving Starbucks, The Micro Market at Barry Hall, Twisted Taco, Caribou Coffee, and Burgers at the U.
Semester-Based Block Plans
Semester-based block plans can be used to fulfill the meal plan requirement for upper-level students living in a residence hall. These plans also include $150 Dining Dollars, which have a dollar-for-dollar value and can be used at all on-campus dining locations, including Starbucks, Caribou, Twisted Taco, Burgers at the U, The Union Market, The Micro Market at Barry Hall, Chick-fil-A, and Panda Express.

Block Plan Menu Options
Summer Block Plan options include West Dining Center, Twisted Taco, Burgers @ the U, and Caribou Coffee.
Fall and Spring Block Plans offer flexible dining beyond the traditional dining centers, with access to a limited menu available at The Union Market, Minard Coffee Shop (Proudly Serving Starbucks), The Micro Market at Barry Hall, Twisted Taco, Caribou Coffee, and Burgers at the U.
Meal Plan Eligibility
Upper-Level (Required Meal Plans)
Upper-level students living in a traditional or suite-style hall (Burgum, Dinan, Stockbridge, Churchill, Weible, R/J, High Rises, Pavek, and Cater) can select the Seven-Day Unlimited, Five-Day Unlimited, 220-Block Plan, or the 145-Block Plan.
- All meal plans are defaulted to the Seven-Day Unlimited Meal Plan for the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters. You may keep the Seven-Day Unlimited or select of of the other options.
- If you move to a hall without a requirement, your meal plan will remain active and cannot be canceled unless it is within the first 8 full days of the semester.
Niskanen Hall and Mathew Living Learning Centers (No Meal Plan Requirement)
Students living in Niskanen Hall or Matthew Living Learning Centers may select the Seven-Day Unlimited, Five-Day Unlimited, 220-Block Plan, 145-Block Plan, 100-Block Plan, 50-Block Plan, and 25-Block Plan.
- Students may add an unlimited access plan or block plan during housing sign-up or by accessing GET .
- New Transfer Students: To purchase a meal plan through GET, you must be registered for classes. If you are having problems, please contact Dining at 701-231-7001 or ndsu.dining@ndsu.edu.
- Meal plans will not automatically renew for the spring semester.
Off-Campus and NDSU Apartments (No Meal Plan Requirements)
- Students may purchase an unlimited or block plan by accessing GET.
- New Transfer Students: To purchase a meal plan through GET you must be registered for classes. If you are having problems, please contact Dining at 701.231.7001 or ndsu.dining@ndsu.edu.
- Meal plans will not automatically renew for the spring semester.
Metro College Alliance Students: Metro College Alliance Students may purchase a block plan online via the NDSU Marketplace.
Mange Your Meal Plan
All upper-level students living in a meal plan-required residence hall will automatically be enrolled in the 7-day unlimited access meal plan. Students may change their meal plan online via GET Mobile beginning June 9, 2025, with changes allowed through the 8th business day of each semester, Fall 2025 (9/3/2025) and Spring 2026 (1/22/2026).
Visit the GET website or download the GET Mobile App to add or change your unlimited or block meal plan—purchases are instant, and your meal plan will be available immediately. You can also use GET to track your meal plan, dining dollars, access the dining center, and more.
Important Dates
View or manage your plan by visiting the GET Mobile website or by downloading the GET app to your phone. You may purchase an unlimited plan at any time throughout the semester, and the rate will be prorated to your purchase date.
Fall 2025
- 09/03/2025 - Last day to reduce meal plan
- 12/19/2025 - Last day to use unlimited meal plans, semester-based block plans, guest passes, and Dining Dollars
Spring 2026
- 01/22/2026 - Last day to reduce meal plan
- 05/15/2026 - Last day to use unlimited meal plans, semester-based block plans, guest passes, and Dining Dollars
