Xcel Energy and the Downtown Community Partnership have announced NDSU President Dean L. Bresciani will serve as the Grand Marshal of the Xcel Energy Holiday Lights Parade .
This year’s event is scheduled Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 6:30 p.m. in downtown Fargo-Moorhead.
“I am honored to be chosen for the role of Grand Marshal in the 2019 Xcel Energy Holiday Lights Parade,” Bresciani said. “This is a fun and festive event that brings the entire community together, including our students here at NDSU. I would like to thank the Downtown Community Partnership for their efforts in keeping our downtown area vibrant and exciting for all to enjoy through events like these.”
Each year the parade attracts thousands of spectators throughout the Fargo-Moorhead community and includes more than 100 participants that decorate their entries with lights. The evening will feature parade floats, marching units and equestrian entries. The parade begins in downtown Moorhead and continues through downtown Fargo.
