Opportunities for involvement on campus are endless at NDSU. With more than 250 student organizations and an environment that encourages students to pursue their passions, every student can make an impact at NDSU and in the Fargo-Moorhead community.
“The benefits of getting involved on campus are unquantifiable,” said Lucas Simmer, executive commissioner of the Congress of Student Organizations. “Student involvement is a prime opportunity to gain valuable communicative, organizational, and leadership skills while giving students an added sense of purpose and additional opportunities for friendship.”
NDSU student organizations have a direct impact on campus and in the community through service, networking opportunities and development events. Many of our organizations are connected to state or national groups, while other groups are unique to NDSU. Check out the complete list of NDSU student organizations online.
If you have a passion for something that isn’t already an official organization, the Congress of Student Organizations can guide you through the creation of a new organization. The CSO is part of NDSU Student Government and enables student success by providing resources and support to student organizations.
The yearly Student Involvement Expo is a great place to start looking opportunities to get involved. Representatives from many organizations answer questions and provide information about their groups.
“The goal of the Involvement Expo is to serve as a showcase of the various student-led organizations that students can get involved in,” Simmer said. “It allows student leaders to advertise the clubs/organizations that they are so proud of and dedicated to.”
