NDSU music students and alumni had a strong showing during the recent Minnesota National Association of Teachers of Singing competition. Nine students were finalists in their divisions; five won first place awards.
This year, due to the pandemic, competitors recorded and submitted videos of their performances instead of competing in person.
“We’re so proud of our students and their teachers,” said John Miller, director of the Division of Performing Arts. “They demonstrated consummate professionalism in a regionwide competition that featured hundreds of entrants from Minnesota and bordering universities and colleges.”
