There are plenty of fun things to do in Fargo-Moorhead this winter.
It’s officially winter in Fargo-Moorhead. We love staying in and staying warm as much as anyone, but there’s so much to take advantage of during the season.
Check out some fun outdoor activities to do this winter.
Frostival
Frostival is about embracing the “cool” of winter. The outdoor festival has fun, family-friendly events for six weeks throughout January and February. Enjoy cardboard sled races, winter volleyball, snow sculpture competitions and more across the cities of Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo.
Find the full list of Frostival events from January 14 through February 25.
Snowshoe and cross-country ski
Explore the outdoors with friends through one of the nine groomed cross-country ski and snowshoe trails in Fargo. Snowshoes and cross-country skis can be rented at Edgewood Chalet
and the NDSU Wellness Center.
Downtown Coffee & Cocoa Crawl
Warm your belly and explore downtown during the 7th annual Coffee & Cocoa Crawl on Feb. 25. Try 20 different coffee and cocoa samples while making your way through various downtown businesses during this Frostival event.
Ice skating
There are more than 30 outdoor ice-skating rinks to explore this winter in Fargo-Moorhead. Grab coffee or cocoa in downtown Fargo, rent skates and enjoy open skating in Broadway Square, or head to West Fargo to check out the outdoor rink at The Lights during Glow Skate. Skate rental also is available at the NDSU Wellness Center for both students and non-students.
