NDSU students advance to national awards

NDSU graphic design and illustration students Fred Gaye Wremeo and Malls LeMier are moving on to the National ADDY Awards hosted by the American Advertising Federation.

Wremeo and LeMier advance after winning District 8 Gold ADDYs; Wremeo in the category “Illustration – Single” for his entry, “Liquids,” and LeMier in the category “Illustration – Campaign” for their entry, “Monster of the Week Music.”

Two other NDSU students, Allison King and Sydney Ulrich, also received Silver ADDY Awards at from District 8: King in the “Illustration – Single” category and Ulrich in the “Animation or Special Effects” category.

King, LeMier, Ulrich and Wremeo each won Gold ADDY Awards from the local American Advertising Federation of North Dakota chapter; Wremeo also won Student Best of Show at the event. 

District 8 encompasses AAF chapters in North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. Wremeo and LeMier will compete against students from across the country at the national competition. Judging will take place in conjunction with the AAF National Conference, held June 1-4 in St. Louis, Missouri.
