NDSU Extension Internship Program

The NDSU Extension Internship program matches college students with a host county or tribal Extension office and mentor. As an NDSU Extension intern you'll:

  • Earn money. The program currently pays $18/hour.
  • Earn college credit. Credit is available through the NDSU Agricultural Education or FACS Education programs and can be applied to the NDSU Extension Education minor.
  • Learn about Extension. You'll help provide the NDSU Extension service and programs that that improve the economic, health and community conditions for North Dakotans.
  • Expand your network: You’ll interact with Extension agents and specialists, industry representatives, and other local stakeholders throughout your internship.
  • Build your skillset: You’ll learn communication, leadership and educational programming skills to prepare you for a career in Extension or other fields.

Applications for the Summer 2023 Internship Program are being accepted now! Positions are available:
8, 10, or 12-weeks.
