Academic Advising
Academic advising is a vital part of student success. Advisors serve as knowledgeable guides who help you navigate your academic journey—offering support in course selection, degree planning, and aligning academic choices with career goals.
By meeting regularly with your advisor, you can stay on track for graduation, explore opportunities such as internships and study abroad, and make informed decisions that enhance your college experience and future success.
Campus Resources
Academic Advisors also connect you with campus resources to aid in your success.
Common Technologies:
Campus Connection is used to view your student account, including any holds you have, your final grades, transcript, and advisement report.
Schedule Planner is an option in Campus Connection that students can use to find an ideal class schedule. Students can select classes based on General Education categories, schedule breaks for work or athletic practice, and visually compare options that are generated. Simply log into Campus Connection and locate the Schedule Planner link under Academics.
Blackboard is an online course management system. Many of your instructors will use this platform to upload course materials.
Email is the official form of communication at NDSU. Check your NDSU email multiple times each day.
