This multipurpose analytical high-resolution transmission electron microscope (TEM) system for research, teaching, and research training in NDSU’s central multi-user microscopy facility was funded by a National Science Foundation Major Research Instrumentation grant (Award #0821655) to NDSU Distinguished Professor Kalpana Katti (Civil Engineering) and Scott Payne and Jayma Moore of the NDSU Electron Microscopy Core.  After delivery in October 2009, installation of the HRTEM was completed in February 2010.
