Carol Renner, a college marketing and communications lead for the NDSU College of Health and Human Sciences, was recently recognized with top honors by the National Federation of Press Women at its annual conference held in St. Louis, Missouri, in June.
Renner received second place for a website video for the college’s Giving Day event. Renner was among more than 250 professional communicators across the U.S. to earn honors during the conference, with about 1,850 entries being submitted in this year’s contest.
Winners in the contest first competed in contests within their state or in an at-large contest for states without contests. First-place winners in these contests advanced to the national contest.
Renner joined the NDSU staff in 2004 in the Office of Research and Creative Activities and moved to the NDSU College of Health and Human Sciences in 2016 after working in positions in corporate strategic communications and broadcasting. Her previous career honors include awards from the FM Advertising Federation, International Association of Business Communicators, Women in Communications and the Associated Press.
