North Dakota Gov. Kelly Armstrong will join NDSU researcher Dean Bangsund and North Dakota Petroleum Council President Ron Ness on Tuesday, March 11, to discuss the economic impact of the state’s oil and gas industry.

The press conference, scheduled for noon in the Legislative Media Room at the State Capitol in Bismarck, will highlight key findings from a recent study on the industry’s economic contributions.

Bangsund, a research scientist in NDSU’s agribusiness and applied economics department, will provide insights from the study, which examines the industry’s role in job creation, tax revenue, and economic growth. Armstrong and Ness will discuss the broader implications for North Dakota’s economy and energy sector.

The event will be livestreamed on the governor’s Facebook page for those unable to attend in person.
