Friends of NDSU Libraries Open House

The NDSU Libraries Annual Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 14, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Current students, faculty, staff, alumni and anyone interested in NDSU Libraries are welcomed.

 The Open House is an opportunity to see first-floor renovations designed to elevate student spaces. New additions include relaxation and reflection rooms, study rooms and a podcast and multimedia lab. The Fabrication and Collaboration Lab also has been renovated. You also can see new technology aimed at making the library easier to use for students. Enhancements include self-checkout stations and the newly launched NDSU Libraries' mobile app.   

 The Main Library’s newest captivating exhibit, "The Architecture of Surrounded by Enemy," Denby M. Deegan traveling exhibit, showcases the works of the esteemed Native American architect and NDSU alumni, Denby Deegan. The newest online exhibit “The 1957 Fargo Tornado” showcases photos and letters from the only F5 tornado event in North Dakota history. 

NDSU Art students also contributed a new installation of hand-crafted kites in the Main Library.

 The Open House includes live music from brass and jazz performers from NDSU and refreshments.
