The NDSU Saddle and Sirloin Club will host the 99th annual Little International Livestock Show on Feb. 14 and 15, 2025, in NDSU’s Shepperd Arena. This event is the largest student-run activity on the NDSU campus, involving over 300 students who will showcase their talents and passion for agriculture.
The Little International, or "Little I," features a variety of showmanship classes including beef, dairy, sheep, goats and swine, as well as contests in ham curing and public speaking. This year’s theme, “Growing Dreams, Harvesting Success,” will be visible throughout the event as students demonstrate their dedication to the agricultural industry and strive to make a lasting impact on both NDSU and the Saddle and Sirloin Club.
A highlight of the event will be the Agriculturist of the Year recognition, where the club honors an individual whose legacy has made a significant impact on North Dakota agriculture. The 99th Little International Agriculturist of the Year is Gerald Stokka, who joined NDSU’s Department of Animal Sciences in 2012 as an associate professor of livestock stewardship. He will be honored at the Agriculturist of the Year banquet held on Friday, Feb. 14 at the Avalon Events Center in Fargo. General admission tickets are $25, and $20 for K-12 and NDSU students. To purchase banquet tickets, contact Sierra Nagle at sierra.nagle@ndsu.edu or 406-974-3054.
