SHARE

The NDSU student-run 800 Café is set to feature a Ratatouille-themed lunch on Thursday, March 21, in room 312 of the Katherine K. Burgum Family Life Center and will include some special “ratty” guests.

The menu will feature a charcuterie board with fresh sliced apples and strawberries, mozzarella cheese, apricot spread and rice crackers. The entree is ratatouille garnished with parmesan cheese and served with a side of brown rice. The dessert is an eclair with a Greek yogurt cream filling and a chocolate dipping sauce.

The meal is managed by Amanda Linne from West Fargo, North Dakota, and Emily Rubischko from Brownton, Minnesota.

The first seating is at 11 a.m. and the last seating starts at 12:15 p.m., but customers are welcome to enjoy a leisurely meal up until 1:30 p.m. Each meal costs $10 per person, or four meals for $35 with a purchased punch card and payments can be made in the form of cash or check at the door.

Seating is limited, so reservations are preferred. When making reservations, please note the number in your party, time of seating and if any food allergies need to be noted. Additional restaurant dates, names of student managers, weekly changing menu and reservation information regarding the 800 Café may be found on the 800 Café website.

The on-campus restaurant managed by nutrition science and dietetic students is part of the nutrition science and dietetics program. The class is instructed by Sherri Nordstrom Stastny professor of health, nutrition and exercise sciences. Meals offered are 800 calories or less as the name suggests.

Parking is available in the visitor’s pay lot on the south side of the Memorial Union on campus.
