NDSU’s Sport Management program is set to host Jim Rooney, co-owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers, for a presentation via Zoom.
Rooney’s presentation is scheduled Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 6:30 p.m. in the Gate City Bank Auditorium.
“We are excited to announce this amazing opportunity,” said Tyler Tracy, lecturer and program coordinator for sport management. “We plan to host the event in person, with cautious measures taken because of the pandemic. We will send out a Zoom link, for people looking to listen in, as we draw closer to the event.”
Rooney, is a business owner, consultant, facilitator, national speaker and published author. His book, “A Different Way to Win: Dan Rooney’s Story from the Super Bowl to the Rooney Rule,” details his father’s successful career.
In addition, Rooney is a co-partner of Rooney Consulting, which helps organizations enhance culture, build strong teams and grow businesses. He also founded FirstLink Research and Analytics, a world leader in building business analysis for technology transition.
“This opportunity will be great for our sport management students and we believe anyone who has an interest in improving where they stand academically and professionally,” Tracy said.
