The Northern Plains Ethics Institute at NDSU has announced Edward O'Keefe, CEO of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation, is scheduled to participate in the institute’s Public Fora series on Tuesday, Dec. 14, at noon via Zoom.
His presentation, Living Library: The Life and Legacy of Theodore Roosevelt for Future Generations, will begin the program, followed by a moderated conversation and audience questions.
O’Keefe will delve into the historical importance of the United States' 26th president and how his legacy impacts present and future generations. O’Keefe will provide library project updates, as well as discuss design processes, building in the North Dakota Badlands and ethical considerations of the project.
Jace Beehler, chief of staff for Gov. Doug Burgum and institute advisory board member, is set to serve as moderator for the forum.
The event is provided free of charge by the Northern Plains Ethics Institute and Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation to all NDSU stakeholders and the public.
O'Keefe is a Grand Forks, North Dakota, native who spent nearly 20 years in journalism as an executive producer at ABC, editor-in-chief at NowThis, and senior vice president at CNN. As a Harvard Kennedy School Fellow, O’Keefe studied Roosevelt’s papers and began laying the groundwork for his upcoming book, “The Loves of Theodore Roosevelt.”
