NDSU has scheduled its annual spring Campus Cleanup for April 27 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event is organized by the President’s Council for Campus Well-being.
“Spring time often reveals trash that has accumulated throughout winter,” said Nicole Outka, health promotion graduate assistant and council member helping to organize the event. “The Campus Cleanup is a way for our students, faculty and staff to come together and show their pride for the beautiful spaces we have on campus. It also provides an opportunity for social connections and physical activity which we know are key contributors to a person’s overall well-being.”
Participants sign up for 30-minute increments, and will begin by meeting near the south entrance of Aldevron Tower. Event organizers will check them in and provide a garbage bag, one-time-use gloves and a vest. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own work gloves for further comfort and safety. Instructions will be provided on which part of campus volunteers are assigned to clean up.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be rescheduled for April 28.
