NDSU is set to hold commencement ceremonies Friday, Dec. 16, in the Sanford Health Athletic Complex. Two ceremonies are scheduled.
The 2 p.m. ceremony will be for graduates of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; College of Engineering; College of Human Sciences and Education; and interdisciplinary studies. The 5 p.m. ceremony is for graduates in the College of Agriculture, Food Systems and Natural Resources; College of Business; College of Health Professions; and College of Science and Mathematics.
According to Jackie Schluchter, associate registrar, 547 candidates are expected to participate in the ceremonies, as of Nov. 28. A total of 905 seniors are eligible.
“Congratulations to our fall 2022 graduates,” Schluchter said. “We are looking forward to celebrating with these students at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex on Dec. 16.”
A class representative has been selected to speak during each ceremony.
Justin Lester, who is receiving his Bachelor of Science in agricultural and biosystems engineering, will address the audience at the 2 p.m. ceremony. A native of Buffalo, Minnesota, he is the son of Tom and Janelle Lester.
Haley Helmin is receiving her Bachelor of Science in accounting and will speak during the 5 p.m. ceremony. She is from Brainerd, Minnesota, and is the daughter of Kyle and Amanda Helmin.
Soloists for NDSU’s ceremonies are Seth Brandl, who is earning his Bachelor of Music degree in vocal education, and Sophie Lind, who is earning her Bachelor of Science in vocal music. Brandl is from Grand Forks, North Dakota, while Lind is from Mandan, North Dakota.
