The Violence Prevention Educators and Sexual Assault Prevention and Advocacy will host a Take Back the Night rally against sexual violence on Wednesday, April 5 at 6 p.m. in the Memorial Union Ballroom. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
The event supports survivors and works to end violence on campus and in the Fargo-Moorhead community. Participants can arrive early to learn about local organizations supporting survivors, visit tables, participate in card making and Denim Day activities and learn what you can do to prevent violence.
NDSU students and alumni will speak at the event. This year, in place of a march, participants are encouraged to make cards to survivors in the community. An open mic time for survivors to share their stories in a safe space also will be available at 7 p.m.
