Scholarships, Grants and Tuition Waivers

Scholarship opportunities have varying deadlines and may also rely on FAFSA information for need-based awards. Be sure to submit all applications early to allow for optimal consideration. FAFSA is not required to be considered for merit-based scholarships.

Grants are gifts of money that do not have to be paid back. These include both Federal and State grants. Below you will find links with additional information about each type of grant offered at NDSU.

Tuition waivers are applied to a student's account as a credit towards tuition charges for eligible students; a small number of waivers can be applied to charges such as books and student fees. Since waivers reduce the cost of attendance they are calculated as part of a student’s award package.
