North Dakota State University offers extremely competitive graduate tuition rates. Particularly low or adjusted tuition rates are available depending on your residence (where you live) and if you are an online student.

Our lowest tuition rates are available to:

• North Dakota residents
• Legal residents of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (through the Western Regional Graduate Program)
• Fully online MNRM students
  • Students must indicate they are an online student and only take classes available as officially “online”
  • Other courses will be charged tuition rates depending on your residency

Slightly higher rates are available for:

• Minnesota residents and
• Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin (through the Midwest Student Exchange Program)
