The Department of Public Health (DPH) offers a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, which is accredited through the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). We currently offer the MPH in two specializations: Epidemiology and Community Health Sciences, both of which have subplan options such as Management of Infectious Diseases and Maternal and Child Health. We also offer a dual MPH/PharmD (with the School of Pharmacy), several graduate certificates (including Infection Prevention, Maternal and Child Health, and General Public Health), and a Public Health minor for undergraduate students. 

The DPH is located in the NDSU College of Health and Human Sciences, where it benefits from interprofessional relationships with the School of Nursing and the School of Pharmacy. We also have strong relationships with entities including the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services, Sanford Health, and numerous local public health units, which offer opportunities for practicum sites and final projects. 

The NDSU MPH program offers classes both on-campus and through distance learning technology. We foster a commitment to our education and research mission by keeping class sizes small and providing opportunities for students to work closely with faculty on research projects.
