The Department of Public Health is committed to providing enrolled MPH students with graduate assistantships that are meaningful, educational, and align with students' career goals. While positions are limited, we encourage all interested MPH students to apply.

Department of Public Health Graduate Research Assistant – 10 Hours/Week
- Position Title: Graduate Research Assistant
- Supervisor: Dr. Huseth-Zosel, Associate Professor, Department of Public Health
- Duration: August 16, 2025-May 15, 2026
- Position Summary:
The Department of Public Health seeks a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) to support the early planning stages of a qualitative research project exploring the experiences of women who historically have navigated societal expectations and gender roles. The project will examine how cultural norms of the time influenced their opportunities, identities, and well-being, as well as their reflections on how those expectations shaped their lives. It will also explore how they perceive changes in gender dynamics over time and whether, in retrospect, they would have approached anything differently. This position includes additional research-related duties as assigned and is ideal for a graduate student with interests in gender and health, aging populations, and qualitative public health research. - For more detailed information and qualifications: GRA Position Description .

NOTE: If you are granted a tuition waiver, the waiver will only cover base tuition. The waiver does not cover the difference between the differential tuition charged for the MPH program and base tuition. You will be responsible for paying this difference even if you receive a tuition waiver. In general, the waiver covers approximately 45 percent of the tuition charged for the MPH program and you are responsible for paying the remaining 55 percent of the tuition.
