About Us

Description

The Dr. Thomas Glass Biotech Innovation Core is located in Van Es Hall (Rooms 182/184/187) on the NDSU campus.  Operating out of the Department of Microbiological Sciences, the 3000 square foot lab serves to innovate, collaborate, and accelerate research by increasing access to basic and cutting-edge microbiology research tools, training and expertise. The Core is staffed by a Core Director and Research Specialist who have a combined 35 years of research experience.  Bookitlab software is utilized for lab management.  Prospective and current users are able to utilize this software to reserve equipment, request training or report issues.  The Core is able to utilize the same platform to track equipment usage, maintenance and performance.

Research Specialist

Hello! I received my B.S. in Biotechnology from NDSU in 2013 and have been working as a research specialist in the Micro department ever since. The majority of my career has been focused on working in microbial ecology.  I have always had a passion for science, and am thrilled to be able to do what I love every day.

At home, I have a husband, two amazing young daughters, and a cat. I love spending time with my friends and family, reading, watching football, and anything that gets me outdoors.
