What Happens When I Report a Concern?
When a concern is reported about a student, it is reviewed by the Dean of Students and Case Management. They may seek further information, reach out directly to the student, and/or review the information with the Care Team to determine what type of action is necessary and appropriate. In some cases, if the person reporting the concern has a relationship with the student, that person may be asked to be part of the process. In other cases, the person reporting the concern may not hear much information about what happens.
Depending on the situation, students may be referred both on and off campus to health services, counseling, social services, academic support, or a variety of other resources. Students are only mandated to complete specific actions when they present an immediate danger to themselves or others.
